Pressure & the small stuff
Pressure that keeps dropping, a boiler that locks out now and then, a noise that has got worse. Small faults are far cheaper to sort at a service than at a breakdown.
Honest on old boilers
If a boiler is near the end, I will say so and tell you roughly how long it has got. I would rather you planned a replacement than got caught out mid-winter.
